Ise is a "Fleet of Fog" battleship from the First Oriental Fleet. Following the departure of Kongou and Hiei to hunt I-401 down, she's the acting flagship of the First Oriental Fleet.

Battleship Ise

Ise is a "Fleet of Fog" reincarnation of WWII Ise-class battleship Ise. She has only one younger 'sister', battleship Hyuuga, who at one time was the flagship of the First Oriental Fleet. Following the departure of Kongou and Hiei to hunt I-401 down, she's the acting flagship of the First Oriental Fleet.

Since Ise has not made any appearance in anime, nor there are any color pages with her ship-body in manga, it is impossible to tell what her color scheme is.

As a battleship, Ise had an extensive arsenal of weapons at her disposal, which consisted of many Photon cannons, multiple missile launcher and the Super-Graviton Cannon. Unlike many reincarnations of Japanese WWII battleships, Ise does not have any torpedo tubes. According to her silhouette in manga, Ise has the catapults for airplanes installed, however their new purpose is unknown.

Ise, much like her sister Hyuuga, has an impressively-powerful Wave-Force armor, capable of taking no less than twelve direct hits from Corrosive Warhead Torpedoes, before reaching the point of saturation.

Mental model

Battleship Ise has one Mental Model. She appears as a girl in her teens with brown eyes and light-brown hair with a frilly bow and two bells in them. She wears moderately-dark dress with separate sleeves and a striped tie. All in all, she actually resembles a Chobit quite a bit.

On the surface, Ise seems to have a cheerful and carefree personality, as she was shown to be gleefully munching down chocolate while in a serious strategic conversation with Kongou and Nagato. However, it has been hinted that she was actually quite upset at Hyuuga for leaving the Fleet of Fog and might do something drastic against her "beloved" sister.

Role

Following the departure of Kongou and Hiei to hunt I-401 down, Ise becomes the acting flagship of the First Oriental Fleet. She was summoned using Kongou's Flagship equipment to where the Fog is engaging Gunzou's Matsushima and the I-401, where she decides to target the latter. With the sudden sinking of Kongou at the hands of I-401, she takes control of what remains of Kongou's fleet and becomes the new flagship of the First Oriental Fleet.

Relationships

• Kongou - Ise's flagship. Her sinking allows her to take control and become the new flagship of the First Oriental Fleet
• Hiei - Kongou's sister and de facto commander of the First Oriental Fleet. It was Hiei who dumped the role of acting flagship onto Ise, because she wanted to accompany Kongou on her hunt.
